For the first time since 2010, the Jesuit women's cross country team is racing at the esteemed Nike Cross Nationals meet, where they'll compete against top high school runners from across the nation. The invitational meet will take place this Saturday, Dec. 2 at Portland's Glendoveer Golf Course with a livestream available online.

The Crusaders are one of 22 teams in the nation to qualify (along with 45 individual runners), and they are the only team from the Portland area. They'll run under the team name "Portland XC."

Earlier this month, the girls took home the class 6A Oregon State Championship, ending their regular season on a spectacular high note. Junior Makenna Schumacher scored an individual win at the state meet with teammates Alexis Kebbe and Kelsey Gripekoven taking third and fifth places respectively.

Good luck at Nationals, Crusaders!
