One-Night-Only Event Marks a Milestone in Jesuit's Storied Theatre Program

In January 1998, Jesuit High School's drama students reached a new stage when The Alex L Parks Performing Arts Center officially opened. Two decades later, on January 6, 2018, more than 50 notable alumni of Jesuit's nationally-recognized drama program return to celebrate this special place, and work to secure its future as a state-of-the-art resource for students yet to come.

20TH ANNIVERSARY GALA
JANUARY 6, 2018
Reception at 6:30 pm, Performance at 7:30 pm

"We're celebrating a place that our alums found while they were students at Jesuit High School," says Drama Co-Director Jeff Hall. "It's gratifying to see them so enthusiastic about returning to that place."

Part "where are they now" and part "dance down memory lane," this one-night-only event will reprise some of the favorite moments of the past 20 years (and beyond) on the Marilyn Moyer Theatre stage, featuring performances by JHS favorites including Mike McKinsey, Marianna Thielen, Isaac Lamb, Courtney Freed, Nick Ardell, Abby Irwin, Bryce Earhart, Kathleen Hooper, Drew Schmidt, Isabel Klein, Jon Matter, Casey Collins, Brandon Gille and dozens more.

"It is really exciting to reunite some of our ensembles, from key players in our production of LES MISERABLES to the ogre, princess, and donkey from SHREK," says Hall. "We will have alums on hand from the very first production performed in the Performing Arts Center (ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, recently revived on Broadway), and will feature performances by the current cast of our upcoming production of NEWSIES."

WATCH WHAT HAPPENS when incredible talent from across the years -- from those who are now professional performers to those who simply can't wait to get back on this stage again -- join forces to celebrate the performing arts at Jesuit High School.

The evening begins with a reception in the lobby of the PAC at 6:30 pm, and includes a complimentary dessert bar at intermission. Following intermission, a raffle drawing will select one lucky winner for a night on the town, including two orchestra-level seats to HAMILTON at the Keller Auditorium on April 4 and a $100 gift card to downtown Portland restaurant Swank and Swine.

On January 6th, however, the Marilyn Moyer Theatre in Jesuit High School's Alex L. Parks Performing Arts Center will be "the room where it happens" for a one-night-only performance not to be missed. Click here for tickets.
