Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself." – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today, we join our country to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His profound message of unity, commitment to building a just society, and advocacy for equal opportunity continues to inspire us to live in service for, and with, others.

To honor Dr. King's life and legacy, members of the Jesuit community are hosting Family Service Day today to collect donations for the Blanchet House and offer support to the unhoused community. Additionally, Jesuit's Black Student Union has prepared a special MLK assembly this week for our students, faculty and staff which will center on Dr. King's historic and inspiring "I Have a Dream" speech, and encourage students and faculty to learn, reflect and walk together to create a more just world.
