On Oct. 10 in the Knight Center, Jesuit will host three notable alumnae as keynote speakers for its annual Financial Aid Luncheon, "Celebrating Three Decades of Coeducation": The Honorable Kate S. O'Scannlain '95, labor solicitor for the U.S. Department of Labor; Anarghya Vardhana '06, named a Forbes "30 Under 30" for venture capital; and Chrisleine Temple '15, a senior at Williams College.
"Over the past 15 years, the Financial Aid Luncheon has proven to be one of our most important initiatives," says Vice President for Development Diane Salzman. "Since 2003, more than 1,200 young people have attended Jesuit with the support of financial aid. It's because of the remarkable contributions of our community that we are able to keep our school accessible, affordable and diverse."
Kate O'Scannlain '95 is the U.S. Solicitor of Labor. Before joining the U.S. Department of Labor, Ms. O'Scannlain was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she worked for 12 years. Kate received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, cum laude, and her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School, where she serves on the Notre Dame Law Association Board.
Anarghya Vardhana '06 is a partner at Maveron, a venture capital firm in San Francisco. She joined Maveron in November 2015 after spending a year at Rothenberg Ventures, where she launched a VR(Virtual Reality) accelerator and sourced and made seed investments in a dozen startups in the VR/AR(Augmented Reality) space. In 2017, Anarghya was named a Forbes "30 Under 30" for venture capital. Anarghya holds a Bachelor of Arts/Science from Stanford University.
Chrisleine Temple '15 is a senior at Williams College in Massachusetts pursuing a double major in philosophy and political science. Her activities on campus include Junior Advisor, Williams College Law Society, Williams College Mock Trial, Philosophy Department Liaison and Black Student Union. Chrisleine hopes to pursue a career in the legal field.
