In honor of Veterans Day, students made thank you cards for Jesuit faculty and staff who have served and continue to serve in the U.S. military. We are humbled by and grateful for their service. We offer this prayer:
Dear God,
On this Veterans Day, we pray in gratitude for the service members of the U.S. military, past and present. We give thanks for the sacrifices they have made to preserve our safety and liberties at home and abroad.
We ask You, O God, to honor those who have served and continue to serve, including the veterans of our school community: alumni, faculty and staff, living and deceased. May their examples of courage and service inspire us all to act in service to our community and our country. Grant us wisdom and compassion as we seek peace in our world.
