Stella Wang ’24 was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar, one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students. Stella is one of just two students in Oregon to receive this exemplary recognition and is also a National Merit Scholarship winner.
Stella plans to study cognitive science at Duke University in the fall. During high school, she interned at Portland State University where she researched quantum algorithms in the computer science department.

In 2022, the Oregon Chinese Coalition presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Stella for the many hours she devoted to teaching programs for children of immigrants and migrant workers, among other causes.
Congratulations, Stella, on this remarkable achievement!
