Jesuit Faculty, Alums, & Community Members Honored as 2026 Award Winners

Congratulations to our 2026 Award Winners! These Jesuit High School community members were honored at Baccalaureate Mass on May 30, 2026 for their unwavering commitment to serving our school and their communities. 

Age Quod Agis Award - Omar Douglas

Each year, Jesuit High School honors an individual who exemplifies our motto, Age Quod Agis – “Do well whatever you do.” This year, Jesuit High School is proud to present the 2026 Age Quod Agis Award to Omar Douglas.

Omar grew up in New Orleans before heading to the University of Minnesota, where he broke school records in track and football, earning himself a place in their athletics Hall of Fame.

Omar played four years in the NFL for the New York Giants, before building a successful career in human resources. In 2014, he joined Nike, where he currently serves as Vice President of Human Resources for Geographies and Marketplace.

Omar and his wife, Adriane, are parents to Demetrius '17, Avery '21, and Alex '27.

Omar was a member of the Parent Council before joining Jesuit’s Board of Trustees in 2020. For the past six years, he has provided steady support, careful discernment, and a breadth of knowledge that have strengthened our mission of forming young women and men for others.

Omar’s contributions include chairing the Communications Committee for the past six years, helping us navigate the complex challenges of Covid, participating in the principal search, and helping shape key decisions and strategic planning for Jesuit in the short and long term.

Omar’s board term is ending, and we are deeply grateful for his generosity and expertise.

Alumnus of the Year Award - Reilley Keating ‘97

Each year, Jesuit High School presents the Alumnus of the Year Award to an individual whose actions and deeds represent the values of Jesuit High School as found in the Profile of the Jesuit Graduate at Graduation: open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, and committed to doing justice. This year, Jesuit High School is pleased to present the Alumnus of the Year Award to Reilley Keating ’97.

Reilley was a member of one of Jesuit’s trailblazing coeducational classes and part of the tennis team that won Jesuit’s first women’s state championship in the spring of 1994. At Jesuit, she discovered a passion for writing that led to degrees in journalism and psychology from the University of Oregon, followed by a law degree from Notre Dame. Today, she is a partner in the Portland office of Stoel Rives, where her practice focuses on complex civil litigation.

Reilley and her husband, Guy, have two sons: Patrick '29, and a younger son, Thomas.

In the spring of 2020, Reilley was invited to join Jesuit's Board of Trustees, where she has served our school with remarkable generosity. Over the past six years, she has contributed her leadership across numerous Board committees, served as Chair of the Ignatian Formation program, Vice Chair, and most recently, as Board Chair for the past two years.

Reilley leads with humility, wisdom, and care for others. In gratitude for her inspiring dedication to our community, Jesuit High School is proud to present the 2026 Alumnus of the Year Award to Reilley Keating ’97.

St. Peter Canisius, S.J.  Award  -  Jack J. Schmidt

St. Peter Canisius, S.J. is the patron saint of Jesuit High School. Jesuit High School is delighted to award the 2026 St. Peter Canisius, S.J. Award to Jack J. Schmidt.

Jack joined Jesuit High School as a maintenance assistant in 1995. His can-do nature quickly led to a promotion as head of the maintenance department. As campus grew, Jack’s job title changed to facilities director, and his responsibilities expanded. His many and varied duties include overseeing building maintenance and repairs, heating, lighting, and countless other tasks that are essential to the school's daily operations.

He has been integral to major construction and renovation projects, including the Alex L. Parks Performing Arts Center, the Elorriaga Center for Science and Mathematics, the Hollman Family Student Union, and the Halton Family Sacred Space.

Jack has been a steady presence on our campus, immersing himself in the life of the school and building special relationships with his colleagues and the Jesuit priests along the way.

After 31 years of dedicated service, Jack will retire in June. He has been the embodiment of the Jesuit High School mission of serving as a person for others. While we will miss his presence immensely, the work he has poured into campus will continue to serve our community for decades to come.

For his dedication to Jesuit High School, for the care he showed our facilities, and for the service that has strengthened our community, we are proud to honor Jack J. Schmidt with the St. Peter Canisius, S.J. Award for 2026.

Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J. Award  -  Fr. Jack Krouse, S.J.

In 1973, Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J. proposed that the objective of a Jesuit education should be to form men and women for others. That objective is at the core of everything we do at Jesuit. The Arrupe Award recognizes those whose service exemplifies what it means to be a person for others. This year, we are honored to present this award to Fr. Jack Krouse, S.J.

Fr. Jack grew up in San Jose, California, and attended Bellarmine College Prep High School, where he first got to know the Jesuits and the concept of being a “man for others.” 

After graduating from Harvard College, Fr. Jack worked for the Department of Homeland Security before realizing he was being called by God to the Jesuits and priesthood.

He entered the Jesuit Novitiate in 2010 and professed his first vows in 2012. 

In 2022, Fr. Jack was missioned to Jesuit High School, where he has been a beacon of hope for our students, faculty, staff, and community. He has served as a theology and French teacher, served on retreats and service immersions, relaunched the Knights program, and has been an integral leader in Ignatian formation. He is known for his humility, wisdom, and compassionate presence.

This June, Fr. Jack will leave for his tertianship in Spain, the last stage of Jesuit formation before final vows.

We are deeply grateful for his humble dedication to Jesuit High School and are proud to honor Fr. Jack Krouse, S.J. with the Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J. Award for 2026.

Sandy Satterberg Award - Jeannie Kennedy Hermann

There is a particular kind of teacher who changes the trajectory of a student's life — not through grand gestures, but through showing up, day after day, with unwavering belief in who that student can become. We are honored to recognize exactly that kind of teacher with the Sandy Satterberg Award in Ignatian Pedagogy. This year’s Sandy Satterberg Award is presented to Jeannie Kennedy Herman.

The award recognizes a teacher who strives to employ Ignatian principles in their practice — one committed to educating the whole student, and to seeking an ever-deepening awareness of what it means to truly accompany young people in their formation. This year's recipient embodies those ideals completely.

Jeannie teaches some of the most challenging and consequential classes in the school. Her students often arrive carrying the weight of difficult school experiences — uncertainty about their abilities, anxiety about high school, and sometimes a quiet fear that success simply isn't meant for them. Jeannie knows otherwise. She meets each student with honesty, care, and an unshakeable conviction that they are capable of more than they yet believe. And she is proven right, again and again.

Her students say it best: "The way you knew I could do it made me see I could, even when not at first." That is cura personalis in its fullest expression — seeing each person not only as they are, but as who they are becoming.

Beyond the classroom, Jeannie supports families through the stressful, tender moments of freshman year and beyond. She is a mentor to colleagues, a steady presence for struggling students, and a consummate professional who seeks no spotlight. With three decades of experience and a spirit of generous optimism that never wavers, she is, in every sense, a gift to this community.

Educator of the Year Award - Lauren Lakey

The Educator of the Year Award honors a faculty or staff member whose impact reaches far beyond any single role, classroom, team, or program —someone whose dedication to educating and forming young people has left a lasting mark on our students, strengthened our community, and helped shape the life of our school. This year, Jesuit High School is proud to present the Educator of the Year Award to Lauren Lakey.  

Lauren is the embodiment of what it means to be a person for others. Whether she is in the classroom, tutoring in the CLARC, supporting students during 0/8th period, leading student activities, or coaching on the lacrosse field, she puts students first—always. She has an extraordinary ability to see each student as an individual, noticing the little things that others might miss and helping students recognize strengths they may not yet see in themselves.

What makes Lauren truly special is her combination of empathy, humility, and unwavering belief in young people. She is often the biggest cheerleader in a student’s corner, celebrating growth as much as achievement and reminding students that who they become matters more than any score, grade, or win-loss record. She approaches every challenge with a growth mindset and receives feedback, criticism, and suggestions with remarkable grace.

Lauren is also a trusted colleague, collaborator, problem-solver, and community builder. She works tirelessly to create a sense of belonging for all students and consistently asks, “How can I help?” Her authenticity, thoughtfulness, and commitment to our Jesuit mission inspire everyone around her.
