Call to family, community, and participation

Updated: 11/16/20

As members of families and communities, we are called to participate together in Christ’s mission.

"The person is not only sacred but also social… People have a right and a duty to participate in society, seeking together the common good and well-being of all, especially the poor and vulnerable" (USCCB).

Students are expected to take the lead in planning this project. Here are a few ideas that focus on family:

  • Create a photo album or family tree, or conduct interviews and compile a family history book.
  • Refinish a deck, organize the garage, take on a much-needed project that your family would appreciate.
  • Plan a family dinner & game night (you can count this for 4 hrs max).
  • Plan a service project you do as a family (make "care kits" or sack lunches for Blanchet House, cards/letters to seniors in assisted living homes, etc.).
  • Do something you have not done before! Be creative!

Students, please reach out to your Theology teacher, Ms. Casey, or Mr. Kato if you have any questions.
