Dear Freshmen, Sophomores, and Parents/Guardians:
Inclement weather has led to changes to our plans this weekend. In addition, we want to make sure that students coming to campus next week are able to find your classrooms. Please read this email carefully.
Rapid Antigen Testing
We are cancelling the testing on Saturday, February 13. There are 520 testing slots available on Monday, February 15. All Green Cohort freshmen and sophomores should sign up for a time on Monday; Gold Cohort students may do the same.
Even if you had already signed up for a test on Monday, we are asking you to do so again, as we had to create a new SignUp Genius form.
Gold Cohort students may choose to be tested on Wednesday, February 17 from 12:30-3:30 pm. If you cannot make either of these dates, but plan to come to campus for classes next week, you may arrange for a COVID-19 test through another provider and send documentation of a negative result to reportcovid@jesuitportland.org by 4 pm the day before you return for classes. See end of email for info.
Test results will be emailed to you within 24 hours. Password to access results: Jesuit2021 (this is a new password). If you test positive, NW Mobile Labs will alert you within four hours of your test with directions on next steps. See below for more info regarding testing.
Schedule and Map of Campus
We strongly recommend that all freshmen and sophomores coming to campus for classes check your schedule in PowerSchool, as some room numbers may have changed. We are also providing you with fillable schedules (color and black/white versions) and a JHS campus map so that you can plan your first days back.
Sophomore Retreat
Due to weather, we are postponing the retreat until the last weekend in February. Sophomores may choose one of these days: Saturday, Feb. 27, Sunday, February 28, or Monday, March 1 (there are no classes on March 1, as the faculty will also be on retreat!). Look for more information soon from Campus Minister Don Clarke.
Reminders about Registering for Rapid Tests
The registration will ask for the student's insurance information and Social Security Number. If you do not want to give your SSN, enter 111 11 1111. Your insurer will be reimbursed for the test through the federal CARES Act. Jesuit pays for test administration. You must complete a series of electronic forms before your COVID-19 test: https://bit.ly/nwmobiletesting_jesuit.
The demographic questions (ethnicity, gender, etc.) are required by the State of Oregon, but students may skip those unless they choose to answer them. If you have any questions or concerns about the testing process please email: testing@nwmobiletesting.com
Day of Testing
If you are exhibiting any symptoms or have recently been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please let your doctor know and do not come to campus for testing.
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your time. Enter via the gate between the Smith Gym and Performing Arts Center from the Cronin Field parking lot (east side of campus). You do NOT have to go through the CapScann, as the test will check you for symptoms.
Thanks for remaining flexible as we navigate February together. We are looking forward to seeing you!
