PSAT/NMSQT, SAT & ACT Opportunities Dear Juniors and Parents/Guardians,
Some of you have inquired about opportunities to take the PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, and ACT this school year. Although Oregon's public universities no longer require standardized tests for admissions and most scholarships, some institutions will still use these test results as part of a comprehensive review for admissions and scholarships.
As of now, the Oregon Department of Education allows Jesuit High School to host standardized tests in-person, as long as we follow the guidelines laid out in the Ready Schools, Safe Learners document.
Jesuit High School plans to host the following standardized tests for juniors this school year:
The administration of these tests will be available to the Class of 2022 only, contingent upon the most-up-to-date guidelines provided by the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Health Authority.
Although our plans are to host the PSAT, SAT, and ACT, experience teaches us that circumstances can change at a moment's notice. We remain hopeful that we will be able to host each standardized test as the dates draw near. We will update you as needed.
You can expect PSAT/NMSQT registration information in early December. Information regarding the registration for the SAT and ACT will be available in January of 2021.
If you have any questions, please contact Ken Potter at kpotter@jesuitportland.org.
Sincerely,
Khalid Maxie Vice Principal for Academics and Student Life (H-N) 503-291-5471
