The CLARC Writing Lab is a dedicated space for students who seek assistance with writing. Whether you're working on a specific assignment or looking to enhance your general writing skills, we welcome writers from all grades and skill levels. Our team of experienced student writers with relevant training in tutoring best practices is here to provide personalized support.
Our emphasis extends beyond the immediate assignment at hand. We're passionate about nurturing the growth of students into confident, lifetime writers. We center our approach on guiding individuals to discover their unique ideas, voice, and writing process. As we like to say: "We don't exist to create better papers, but instead to create better writers."

Meet Our Writing Fellows
Allie Barbar '25
Allie is a senior at Jesuit. She's involved in Arab American Club, Track and Field and Jesuit Refugee Services. In her free time she loves hanging out with friends, cooking and reading! She wanted to be a Writing Fellow because she enjoys writing and wanted to help others with becoming the best writers they can be.
Nikita Chincholkar '25
Nikita is a senior who enjoys reading, dancing, and hiking. Her favorite book is the Fault in Our Stars by John Green. She joined Writing Lab to help her peers with their writing and hopefully spread some useful knowledge on how to craft well written essays!
Finley Clark '25
Finley is currently a senior at Jesuit High School. She is very interested in writing and is excited to be one of this year’s writing fellows. She is a leader of Jesuit’s Fashion Club and has participated with multiple jesuit sports like track, soccer, and most recently lacrosse. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing sports, traveling, and hanging out with her pets.
Lizzy Dellit '25
Lizzy loves the freedom writing gives a person to express themselves and communicate with others. She specializes in short stories and poetry–though she would like to explore the world of prose poetry. In her free time, she competes with Jesuit's mock trial team, writes, and volunteers at Blanchet House. Her favorite movie is The Parent Trap (the Lindsey Lohan version) and her favorite book currently is The Goon Squad.
Annie Duan '25
Annie Duan is a senior who is passionate about social and environmental justice. In school, she is involved with Ethics Bowl, Green Team, Asian Student Union, and Fashion Club. In her free time, she enjoys crochet and reading. Her favorite form of writing is argumentative, and she’s beyond excited to be a Writing Fellow so she can share her skills and passion for community with others.
Lauren Howerton '25
Lauren loves reading romance novels and writing poetry. She's excited to be a writing fellow this year!
Maddie Kwon '25
Maddie is a senior this year. In her free time, she enjosy reading and making crafts. Her favorite book is Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. She became a Writing Fellow because she wanted to help share her experiences, knowledge, and skills with struggling students to aid them in finding their voice and expressing themselves through their writing.
Vyom Mukerjee '25
Vyom leads Model United Nations and History Bowl at Jesuit. He became a writing fellow because he enjoys interacting with others and he finds that helping others with their writing allows him to see his own writing in a new light and improve it. He specializes in reporting and persuasive writing, but loves helping any way he can. He is a big fan of music by Ado.

Owen Risch '25
Owen is a basketball player who has been in the program since freshman year. He loves gaming, especially NCAA 25 and Halo infinite. He's a big sports fan, especially of the Vikings and Blazers. He's excited to help others learn helpful tools for writing and he's looking forward to interacting with new people.

Leah Woodell '25
Leah is so excited to be a Writing Fellow this year because she's passionate about helping others. she's a member of the swim and track & field team and she enjoys spending time around water, like the ocean and lakes. She's interested in pursing her education studying nursing. She also really likes fruit!
Mattie Baker '26
Mattie loves skiing, listening to music, and traveling. She finds brainstorming to be the most difficult part of writing, but much more bearable when listening to Frank Ocean. When she was younger, she often found writing essays to be daunting and frustrating, but after much practice it has grown easier. As she understands the struggle of writing, she joined the writing lab to support others who are facing the same challenges. She highly recommends the movie Waves.
Nathan Bui '26
Nathan is your junior class president and is involved in football and lacrosse. He enjoys playing piano, building Legos, hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with friends. He became a Writing Fellow because he used to struggle a lot with writing and wants to help relieve your stress in the writing process to help you express your ideas.
Eli Hanson '26
Eli likes to hang out with friends, eat Mexican food, lift weights, and read. He works as a lifeguard and sings in the chamber choir here at Jesuit. Helping people feel confident about their writing is very rewarding for him.
Mariam Jawed '26
Mariam loves trying new things such as running, guitar, softball, and traveling new places. English and yearbook are her favorite subjects in school and she believes that the people around you shape who you grow into. Her favorite movies include 10 Things I Hate About You, Where the Crawdad Sings, and Tangled. Mariam is part of a big family with four older sisters and a husky named Fleury.
Lila Jones '26
Lila is super excited to join the Writing Lab as a fellow this year. In her free time, she enjoys singing and playing video games (Spiderman 2 is one of her favorites). If you enjoy drama, you might also see her in a Jesuit production or just hanging around the arts center. Her favorite book is American Psycho and her goal as a Writing Fellow is to leave each student tools to develop their writing over the course of the year.
Max Mullen '26
Max likes to do fun stuff outdoors with friends like surfing, camping, swimming, and playing basketball. He also likes watching shows and movies, and playing video games in his free time. He became a Writing Fellow because he has relied on writing conferences throughout his time at Jesuit, so he wanted to help other people in the way that his teachers helped me.
Grace Nguyen '26
Grace enjoys English class and helping others with their writing. In her free time, she likes watching shows while doing art and hanging out with friends on the weekend. A silly, turn-off-your-brain show she would recommend is Smiling Friends, one of her favorites.
Eesha Raghavan '26
Eesha enjoys traveling and spending time outside hiking, backpacking, and just being in nature. She is an avid reader and one of her favorite books is Gone With The Wind. She loves to read all types of writing, but especially likes narrative pieces because of how relatable and meaningful they can be. In her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time with friends, and listening to music.
