Standardized Tests (PSAT, Practice ACT, AP exams)
Standardized Tests
As part of the CLARC team, Jesuit’s Testing Coordinator plans logistics for school-administered standardized tests, like the practice ACT and PSAT/NMSQT, and all Jesuit-run AP course exams.
The testing coordinator also assists extended-time-qualified students in setting up accommodations for the SAT and ACT.
Parents wishing to find out information should first consult with their student as they have received all necessary information. If parents then need more information, they can contact Jesuit’s testing coordinator, Mr. Orazio.
Jesuit is not, nor does it plan to become, a testing site for the ACT or SAT.
For advice on testing beyond logistics, please reference the Jesuit Counseling and College Advising sites.

Practice ACT
- Jesuit High School requires all sophomores & juniors to take the Practice ACT. The Practice ACT gives students a general idea of what the ACT will look like.

ACT
- The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It is currently administered by ACT, a nonprofit organization of the same name. The ACT test covers four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and scientific reasoning. It also offers an optional direct writing test.
- Students who qualify for extended time on tests need to fill out the ACT consent form and submit it to the testing coordinator at Jesuit High School. Students will also need to mark when applying to take the ACT that they want accommodations. The testing coordinator will then apply for accommodations and let the student know the status of the request.
- Note: If students have any questions they should refer to the ACT website or consult with a counselor or college advisor at Jesuit.
