Endow the Future Help Us Build Our New Center for Science and Mathematics and Relocate the Dieringer CenterCenter for Science and Mathematics Jesuit High School hopes to build a new $5.6 million, state-of-the-art, 17,000 square foot, two-story building that is Gold LEED-certified. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification is verification that a building meets the highest green building and performance measurse.
Jesuit's Center for Science and Mathematics will provide additional classroom space, upgrade lab facilities, increase collaborative and interdisciplinary studies, and incorporate a commitment to sustainability through an invigorated curriculum inspired by a building that is in itself an interactive learning tool.
Jesuit is committed to creating space where science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are celebrated and where young men and women can discover the rewards of lifelong careers in these fields. The impact to students includes stronger science and math achievement through a compelling learning space and expanded curriculum; improved student productivity and satisfaction; and even greater preparation for college and future job opportunities.
Dieringer Center Relocation To make room for the 17,821 square foot Center for Science and Mathematics, the existing Dieringer Center will be relocated to space currently housing our chemistry labs and classrooms. The renovation on this space will begin as soon as the Center for Science and Mathematics is complete.
The Dieringer remodel will increase the amount of current academic office space from 4,396 to 5,958 square feet, allowing our Campus Ministry, Christian Service, and Student Activities offices to be moved into this area as well. The new offices will still proudly display the name Dieringer Center. There are additional naming opportunities available for the lobby, conference room, staff lounge, and 13 of the 14 offices.
