Financial Aid Luncheon
Wednesday, October 15, 2014
We are pleased to introduce Karl Glaser (Emily ’12, Olivia ’16) and Nancy Bolton (Alex ’14 and Audriana ’15) as our 2014 Jesuit Financial Aid Luncheon Co-Chairs. Both Karl and Nancy are committed to providing hope and promise to students who, without help, would be unable to attend Jesuit High School.
The theme for this year’s event is “Everyday Heroes.” “There are many ordinary people in our Jesuit community doing extraordinary things,” says Karl Glaser. “They are the heroes in everyday life because they are making a difference in the lives of others.”
For the 2014-2015 Academic Year:
- $2.6 million in need-based tuition assistance will be awarded to Jesuit students. This is an increase of $275,000 from last year.
- One in every four Jesuit families receives financial assistance.
- The average grant is $7,700.
We Need You!
We invite you to join us in helping make a Jesuit education affordable for 330 qualified students. Many families have difficulty finding a way to pay tuition, even with the financial assistance we are providing. In 2013-14, Jesuit awarded less grant money to each family than recommended by an independent financial review service because we do not have the funds available to meet the entire need. Your participation will make a difference in the lives of our students.
There is no ticket charge or table captain cost for the Financial Aid Luncheon. Please join us for an hour of superb student entertainment and engaging speakers. Reserve your luncheon table today by calling 503-291-5497. We look forward to seeing you at the Luncheon in October.
If you were unable to attend last year's luncheon, please enjoy this video which shares the importance of financial aid and the belief that everyone has needed a helping hand at some point in their lives. You can still make a difference by making a donation online, now. Thank you for helping us fulfill this promise of financial aid to our families.
