Celebrate the Journey at the Jesuit Auction Gala on Saturday, May 3rd
The big Celebration of the Year is quickly approaching. And the journey toward this celebration is in full swing! The deadline for the Live Auction donations is March 1 and the deadline for the Silent Auction is April 1. You can download an auction donation form here.
As you know, your donations are what make the auction such a great success – and no donation is too big or too small. Examples of donation items include restaurant certificates, spa services, vacation homes, airline miles, event tickets, and electronics
Do you have access to some great wines? Or do you know someone who does? This year we’re having a big focus on wines and need your donations of premium wines or magnums. We’re also looking for verticals and horizontals. Another popular auction item is a wine-tasting dinner at an Oregon winery, or a private winery tour paired with dinner at a wine-country restaurant and an overnight stay at a bed & breakfast. In our neck of the woods, the wine-related options are endless.
Do you love to throw parties? We’re also looking for party donations – host a summer backyard barbeque for 12, a boating party around Lake Oswego or the Willamette River, a sit-down Tuscan-style dinner for eight, a bowling party, or a ladies-only margarita party. If you feel like it’s too much to take on yourself, get a group of friends together to host it with you. The planning and preparation for the party can be just as much fun as the party itself!
If a party is more than you can take on, consider organizing a basket. Again, gather your friends, your sports team parents, your club parents and have a ball creating a basket to donate to the auction. Auction baskets are hot ticket items and are a huge contribution to the auction’s success.
