In the spirit of St. Ignatius, Jesuit High School’s administration, Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff intentionally strive to keep a Jesuit education affordable and accessible by charging less than the actual cost of education for all students.
For the 2014-15 school year, the subsidized tuition rate is $12,975 while the actual cost of education per student is $15,575. This difference of $2,600 per student is made up through voluntary gifts above tuition.
Each year, families who can afford to pay the actual cost of education for their student(s) through the Family Partnership Program are asked to do so. Approximately, 30% of our families currently choose to give a gift above the subsidized tuition rate, making the school more affordable for all our families.
In addition to supporting a subsidized tuition model and controlling cost inflation for families, Jesuit High School provides significant need-based financial aid. For the 2014-15 academic year, 26% of students and families (that is 330 students; more than the equivalent of an entire class) received $2.6 million in financial assistance. Jesuit has chosen to use all available funds to help families who need it; therefore we are not able to offer any merit-based aid or scholarships. All financial aid awards are need-based and determined through the Private School Aid Service application process
