It is the perfect evening for a concert in the JHS Alumni Quad. As the final event of Alumni Weekend, the concert attracted alumni with music provided by Bart Ferguson ’84 and his band, an array of treats and beverages, and rich conversation.
Coming back to Jesuit High School is like coming home for many alumni. It is a place that helps mold young people and prepares them for life. Whether you come back to see old friends, attend mass, or just to look at the updated campus, you will always be welcomed with warmth. Thanks to all who helped make this weekend a success. See you next year!

With Laura Schott ’99 and Dave Nicholas being inducted into the Jesuit Hall of Fame during this year’s Alumni Weekend, it seemed fitting that the first ever Alumni Soccer Game would be hosted as well.
Men and woman from various graduating classes made up the two teams, but they weren’t the only ones that showed up to Cronin Field for this event. The sidelines were dotted with some of the most dedicated fans – children, spouses and parents came out to cheer on the players!
It was a perfect Oregon day for a soccer game. Before they took the field the group gathered around for a quick prayer, one of many JHS traditions that these athletes have fond memories of.

It has been an exciting day here at J-High! The campus has been alive since students arrived on campus early this morning and it continues to be full of excitement as the evening events near.
Today began with the Jesuit High School community complete with alumni, students, faculty, staff and many parents gathering together in the Knight Center to celebrate the Mass of The Holy Spirit. Fr. JK Adams, SJ welcomed back all the returning alumni and blessed the class of 2013 for their Senior Pilgrimage this weekend.
The Hall of Fame Luncheon marked the peak of the day. Guests sat in the Alumni Quad and honored this year’s inductees. The Jesuit Hall of Fame serves as a means of recognizing, preserving and honoring the athletes, coaches and individuals who have made significant contributions to the athletic programs at Jesuit High School throughout various eras. This year, Dick Gedrose ’61, Fr. Bill Hayes, SJ, Dave Nicholas, and Laura Schott ’99 were inducted. Each new member was celebrated with a brief video of their contributions to Jesuit and surrounded by family and friends.
After the luncheon, the entire school came together once again to recognize the inductees and class of 1962. During the assembly, Principal Paul Hogan and President John Gladstone accepted the Oregonian Cup for the ninth time, which is measured by Activities, Athletics, Sportsmanship and Academics. Laura Schott ’99 closed the assembly by addressing the student body, urging them to make the most of their time at Jesuit and wishing the Varsity Football team “good luck” in this evening’s game.
Tonight, many alums will tailgate at Ernesto's before the Varisty Football game at Jesuit against Canby High School.

Alumni Weekend began this morning! Over 100 people came out to participate in the 2012 Alumni Golf Classic, held at The Reserve. Alumni from the 1960s all the way to the most recent graduating class of 2012 were in attendance.
Players stocked up on raffle tickets, hoping to take home one of 48 prizes available and visited the course’s Nike shop to spend their complimentary “Nike Bucks” on some new gear.
Teams of four gathered to warm up on the driving range, eat lunch and strategize about how they were going to win the “money ball” pot! Many foursomes exhibited true team spirit by sporting matching outfits and enthusiastic attitudes.
A shotgun start marked the beginning of the tournament, to be followed with a hearty steak dinner, much reminiscing among former classmates, and, of course, the raffle drawing! The Golf Classic proved to be a wonderful kick-off to this year’s Alumni Weekend!
